Why Do You Need To Reset a WordPress Installation?
You may be planning to change your website niche. In that case, you need to clear your entire blog posts, pages and custom post types from the blog. Instead of doing it one by one, you may want to consider cleaning it with a single click.
In our case, we are using this method for clearing data from our demo blogs.
How To Reset a WordPress Installation?
First of all, go to your WordPress admin area. On the dashboard, you can see all your available posts an pages.
I have 9 posts and 23 pages on my blog. I wish to wipe out all the data from there. Go to the add new plugins section and search for the Advanced WordPress reset plugin. Simply install it on your blog.
After installing it, you need to activate the plugin.
Under the tools menu, you can see the plugin settings.
For resetting your database, type ‘reset’ in the box and click on the reset database button.
Check your WordPress dashboard. You will see a fresh one.
All our posts have been gone and the default one is created.
Also our pages.
You will be reverted to the default WordPress theme. Also, your plugins will become deactivated and the WordPress database rest plugin stays active. You can deactivate, delete the plugin an start modifying your new WordPress installation.
