Do you know how can you enable night mode on WordPress blog and improve the user experience? Well, in this post, we will show you the step by step guide to enable night mode on WordPress without editing theme files!
How To Enable Night Mode on WordPress Blog?
First of all, log in to your WordPress blog, and go to add new plugins page. There, you need to install the WP Night Mode plugin.
After installing the plugin, simply activate it.
Go to your primary navigation menu and add a custom link menu there. You can enter the link as # and text as WP Night Mode.
Now, you need to add a CSS class to the link. For that, enable CSS classes from the screen options.
Under the link, you can see a new box for adding a CSS class. Simply add ‘wp-night-mode’ in the box and save your menu.
You can see a new toggle button on your WordPress blog’s front end.
If you turn it on, it won’t work. We have some more work to do. Go to the WordPress Customizer. You can see WP night mode settings there.
Configure the colour options according to your liking and publish the updates.
Check your website from the front end. Simply turn on the night mode and check the configuration.
That’s it. This is how you can enable night mode on WordPress blog. If you need to add night mode toggle button in single posts, use the [wp-night-mode-button] shortcode.
Will It Work With Every Theme?
The plugin will work with most themes. If you are having any issues, please contact the theme developer for support.
