Google AdSense Approval Tricks 2018
For helping beginners get started with Google AdSense, we have pointed 13 factors which will affect your AdSense application. If you are a newbie or got rejected, keep these points in your mind. It will probably help you to get Google AdSense approval.
1. Quality Contents
Don’t create auto blogs or copy-paste other bloggers work. They are taking hours to write contents and managing the website. If you do, they can simply take your entire website down with a simple DMCA notice to your current web hosting.
While using Google chrome for managing your blog, you need to use the Grammarly extension. It will help you to write with confidence without getting any spelling, grammar or punctuation errors.
Try to be descriptive on your content. Make sure that your writing style is in a friendly manner. Try to add at least 600 words in a post but not required. In the beginning, we were having only 300 words in a single blog post. But later, we have explained things very well and made the word count to 700.
Your domain name matters. There are so many free domain registrars available. But, we will not recommend any of them for your blog. We always prefer a .com domain. For registering a domain name, we will use GoDaddy.
You just want to show the AdSense team that you are starting a blog seriously or you are passionate about it. Using free domains will not give the feel.
I have seen that some folks are saying that website and domain age must be at least 6 months. That’s not true. In our case, we have got AdSense approval within 1 month of the website registration.
4. Prohibited Contents
Adult, tobacco, violence are prohibited website contents. You can’t use Google AdSense on those websites. In that case, you need to try pop-up ads or any other related ad networks on the website.
5. Essential Pages
For creating a contact form in WordPress, you need to use a contact form plugin. Here, we are using contact form 7.
6. Theme and Layout
A professional looking, lightweight theme is preferred. Choose the theme color wisely. You need to choose the color according to your website type. Means if you are running any website which will post about nature, trees, and gardening, you must choose light green or related color.
Use the sidebar wisely. Most folks are adding content in the left side, sidebar at the right. It’s pretty good for all. If you prefer full-width content, you may want to consider using the sidebar.
Because, you must add some essential widgets like subscription form, recent posts, social widgets on the sidebar.
Images must be non-copyrighted. Here at DealWithBro, we are using ShutterStock and Pixabay for finding free images. Also, we are using Adobe Photoshop to create our own masterpieces.
Don’t download any image from Google search results and use it on your blog. If you need to add any external images, give proper credits attribute under the specific image.
8. Existing Ads
If you are using any other advertisements on your website, turn them off for a week. Google really hate pop-up and pop-under advertisements. Using pop-up under ads along with Google AdSense can lead to your account ban.
9. Website Uptime
Very important for everyone. You know that there are so many WordPress hosting and web hosting companies available these days. But, some of them are the worst! Means they can’t give you expected experience and support. If you choose any one of them, your website will be always down!
Do you know how Google AdSense verification works? A Google AdSense employ will check your website from their end. If your website is not available at the moment, you will get rejected!
That’s why we recommend you only best hosting not worst. For finding your best affordable web hosting, you need to check out our WordPress hosting guide.
If you are confused about your current website uptime, you can use a third-party service called UptimeMonitor for testing your website uptime. This service is absolutely free!
10. Broken Links
Make sure that you don’t have any broken links on your website. In WordPress, you can use a WordPress plugin called Broken Link Checker for analyzing your entire blog links and finding broken ones.
Typically this plugin will increase the load of your website server. Some web hosting like WP Engine got already blocked this plugin on their server.
In that case, you can use a third party broken link checker website for checking links. This will not increase your website load. Here at DealWithBro, we are using this service.
You need to get some search traffic to your blog. Choosing the right keyword will always bring your post on top of the search result. You must submit your website to Google, Bing, and Yandex search console to get indexed on the search engine properly and analyzing the search data.
You don’t need to have 500+ users a day for getting Google AdSense approval. I have seen that folks are getting Google AdSense approval with 100 – 150 pageviews a day. This can be 50 users a day.
Make sure that your backlinks are clean. Never buy links from any websites. This can hurt your entire blog or website. Also, don’t accept backlinks from spammy websites. If you have anything, simply disavow it.
Website speed matters. Nobody likes slower loading websites. Folks love to use faster-loading website. You can use third-party services like Pingdom to test your website speed. Website speed depends on different factors.
For improving your website speed, you need to use a lightweight theme, compressed images, a caching plugin and also a CDN.
We are using Genesis by StudioPress here. It’s a faster loading, SEO ready, specially designed for developers. As a lightweight theme store, we recommend you CSSIgniter and HappyThemes. For compressing images, you can use a free WordPress plugin called WP Smush or a hosted service TinyPNG.
